It's Time to Get Creative!
Picket Fence Art Studio offers a wide variety of classes for all ages and ability levels.
The Beginner Youth Art Class offers students aged 8-12 a chance to explore art through hands-on projects over ten weeks. Key focuses include design principles, visual storytelling, and techniques like observational drawing and sculpture. The supportive environment encourages creativity and collaboration, fostering confidence in artistic expression. Classes run Mondays, with a total investment of $450.
Join instructor Olga Bolgar for a five-week acrylic workshop starting October 1st, meeting Thursdays from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM. Designed for all skill levels, this class focuses on using a palette knife to explore texture and color while painting flowers and birds. The cost is $250, and students should bring their own supplies.
Join the engaging oil painting class with Brenno Kenji, offered on Wednesdays and Thursdays. The upcoming winter session runs from January 14 to February 11, featuring five classes for $385. Tailored for all skill levels, students will explore still life, master studies, and advanced techniques in a supportive environment.
Creative Art Classes for kids aged 5-7 take place on Mondays from 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM, featuring a special Squishmallow-themed curriculum this Fall. Monthly enrollment is $35 per class, with a full session price of $345, including a 10% discount. All supplies are provided, ensuring imaginative, hands-on projects each week.
Picket Fence Art Studio offers a range of art classes designed to inspire confidence and help students create art that matters to them.

The Monthly Studio Membership offers adults 18+ a creative escape for $150 per month. Members enjoy unlimited access to the studio, essential amenities, and dedicated storage. This unsupervised space fosters independent creativity while encouraging a collaborative atmosphere. Members are responsible for maintaining a clean environment for all.

Woodinville Fine Artist Jamie Lightfoot, Owner of Picket Fence Art Studio Jamie Lightfoot is an American fine artist. She is known for her oil paintings. These paintings breathe light into their subjects. Her works explore themes of wildness, connection, and exploration while offering a fresh look at the familiar. Jamie’s works capture the longing of the soul. They reflect the beacon of light that calls us home and into our higher selves. This occurs in various situations. It could be an elk stepping into a field. It might be a woman walking down an empty ancient street. Or it could be a lonely ferry on the Puget Sound at dusk.
Jamie’s work blends delicate realism and the expressive application of color and paint to create a look that evokes emotion, memory, and even a sense of mystery. Jamie was taught by regional artists specializing in impressionistic art and influenced by 19th-century masters such as Sargent, Zorn, and Sorolla. Jamie was mentored and individually tutored by renowned artists, including Pam Ingalls, Cheri Christensen, and Henry Stinson. Jamie attended Gage Academy of Art.
Pam Carraway is a vibrant watercolorist based in Edmonds, WA. She invites you into her whimsical world of “Fun with the F’s: Feathers, Fur, Faces, Food!” Pam is passionate about capturing the essence of life’s joyful moments. Her artwork celebrates color, texture, and the beauty of the natural world. A lifelong learner, Pam is committed to honing her artistic skills and sharing her knowledge with others. She regularly teaches watercolor classes, inspiring students of all levels to explore their creativity. Pam loves animals, and it shows in her work. She often features furry friends and feathered companions in her paintings. She brings subjects to life with her use of color and light. This skill creates a sense of connection and joy for viewers. In addition to teaching, Pam has exhibited her artwork in prestigious galleries. These include the Edmonds Arts Festival Gallery, Edmonds Artwalk, and Edmonds in Bloom. Her work has also been published in the Northwest Colored Pencil Tips. Since moving to the United States in 1994, Claire has cultivated a profound passion for teaching and fostering creativity in children. Her extensive experience volunteering and working in preschools and elementary schools underscores her commitment to inspiring the next generation of artists. She firmly believes that art is a journey of discovery, and she’s excited to guide our youth students through their own exciting explorations.
As an artist specializing in intricate portraiture of people and animals, Claire is also drawn to the fluidity of watercolor and the vibrancy of acrylics in her captivating landscape paintings. She thrives on the process of artistic discovery and is dedicated to guiding her students through their own exciting explorations, helping them unlock their potential and develop a lifelong love for art.
