Encaustic is a non-toxic medium that provides unparalleled luminosity and depth of color. The resulting prints on paper can be layered onto an existing encaustic painting or displayed independently. We will use semi-transparent Sumi rice paper to print on, as well as Encaustiflex flexible fabric paper and every color imaginable. Experienced encaustic artist and printmaker Dana Harris Seeger will show students the process from start to finish, including how to incorporate mixed media into their prints.
