Over the weekend, we studied under the guidance of Henry Stinson. A glowing aurora surrounded the studio. It was truly inspiring and magical as we all challenged ourselves and grew as artists. The Weekend Workshop started with a demonstration of a portrait painting. If you missed the presentation, you can purchase a copy of the demonstration HERE. Saturday and Sunday consisted of Henry-inspired still lifes in the morning. "It is so much better to make a big thing out of a little subject than to make a little thing out of a big one." Charles Webster Hawthorne And a portrait session in the afternoon. We also learned a new take on the color wheel. Of course, we also enjoyed good food and company. The weekend can be summed up with this quote: "Swing a bigger brush – you don't know what you're missing." — Charles Webster Hawthorne Don't miss your chance to learn the fundamentals of Russian portrait and still-life impressionistic painting with a contemporary flair.
